  5. Does anyone know the measurements of the release bearing sleeve? My car making squeaking noise so I ripped my transmission apart and found this to be the problem. I hammered the bearing off the sleeve with a copper hammer and the sleeve come out pretty easy seems to have a groove in it like the bearing was spinning on it. I’m pretty sure that was the squeaking noise I was hearing.also does anyone know where I could get the hole assembly if it is bad? I seen one on hilltop auto online but it was $110 not to bad but still more then I want to pay. thanks.?

  8. I removed the sending unit and ohmed it out and if my correct, found the sweep goes from 100 to 0. Not sure if this will work with the stock gauge or I will need to order the correct sending unit for the tank. Is this correct?
  9. This is the sending unit i have in the car . When I have to open out to figure out if it’s stock?
  10. I recently did the 12 V conversion to my 47 Plymouth And trying to use my stock fuel gauge. An universal gas tank was put in prior to me buying it with what looks like aftermarket sending unit as well, if that is the case and it’s not a stock sending unit well I be able to run the stock gas gauge with the after market sending unit by running a runts resistor? Or because the sending unit is not made for the gas gauge does that mean I need an after market gauge? thanks guys!
  11. My Plymouth it screws in to the block. What year is your car? Maybe I can fine the linkage and use it on mine?

  14. I have a edgy head and I was going to put it on but I was not sure what I should do about my throttle. I’m running the stock throttle. I tried looking for pics but I can’t find any any help?
  15. What size pulley did you have for the alternator?
  16. I’m thinking about 12 volting my car. It’s all stock, just kinda hard to start in the morning and when it’s cold. I have the hei distributor but I do like the six volt systems and The car has ran with the 6 volt system for year with no problem . the wiring harness is not in bad shape for the age so I’m not worried about that, going to 12 volt I will pull less amps. Should I try to change the fields in my generator, get a last model 12 volt generator or go to and alternator? I know I have a few other things to change also but I’m torn to keep it stock or do the upgrade.
