ksujames Posted June 11, 2008 Report Posted June 11, 2008 To install the grill bars on a 1948-1950 truck, do I need to remove the hood and radiator to install these or can they be installed without taking off the hood and radiator. Quote
grey beard Posted June 12, 2008 Report Posted June 12, 2008 KSU, Nope - they can be removed or replace working through the slots and under the fenders. Use a 1/4-inch drive deep 7/16-inch socket. If you're coming aparet, soak everything well. Here in the east, brackets often twist off with the nuts - tough to save, and when that happens, they must be silfver soldered back on. Good Luck Quote
