Normspeed
In an over abundance of caution, I tightened the daylights out of my rear spring u bolts a while back. Didn't think I was this strong, but it appears the bottom retainer plate bent and the ubolts took a turn for the worse. I really don't recall it looking like this when I did the retorquing. I picked up some new ones that look like more of an automotive grade and installed them today. The old ones that bent came with a pair of Ford/Chevy lowering blocks. Normspeed
I still can't believe I torqued it that tight, and then didn't notice the bending. That plate is thick tough steel, in fact I had a hard time hammering the bend back out of it. I must have been eating my spinach that day.
