Fireball Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 Sad news. There has always been a lot of discussion around his builds, and after the TV show even Boyds character. He did not please everybody, neither did his cars, but despite of that he left his mark into Hot Rod hobby. One legend is now among other legends. RIP Quote
Rodney Bullock Posted February 28, 2008 Report Posted February 28, 2008 We lost a true builder in Boyd. You could tell he was not in great shape when the show was airing. I think thats why he was so short with folks. There were many who did not like his pushing style. You have to understand that when you are building these cars you have to have a drive about you, if you don't you have alot of parts and a car in your backyard. He was among the last of the true ground up builders where hot rods are concerned, I was hoping he would do an original build to show that he could and do a good job at it. The tulsa Plymouth would have been a crowning achievement. I guess now we will never know. I was thinking of using his wheels on my hawk, I guess now I don't have a choice:) rip Boyd Quote
