Ed Griffin Posted January 18, 2008 Author Report Posted January 18, 2008 Speaking of, did anyone else catch the Airflow that was on Barrett -Jackson auction last night? Flipping channels and caught the very end of the auction for a red 1937? Chrysler Airflow. It went for 85k. With this topic so fresh I thought what were the chances. I didn't get to see much of it like I said but enough to see what someone thought of it at that price. They may have it on their website since it was one of the fantasy bid cars as well. Quote
eric wissing Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 I caught a bit of that one too. It was very sharp looking, a "Kansas Barn Find". I would jump over during commercials. It is boring to see Camaro, Corvette, Impala, Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, Mustang . . . . The muscle cars are just not my thing. Even the hot rods start to look a like. They open the hood and look at the date code and tell you it originally came with _____. After awhile it all looks the same. Saturday will come the super egos who I think are there to be seen. It is a show. I wish there was a way to TIVO just the cars you wanted to see. If you could filter out a few makes, I think in a half hour you could see the 20 interesting cars they sell in a year. Normspeed Posted January 18, 2008 Report Posted January 18, 2008 They lost me a couple years ago when some guy turned his little kid loose with a very large fistful of money and the kid paid a ridiculous price for some ego-ride, then was giving the "raised fist" sign to the cameraman. gimme a break!
