1949 Steering Ring to a 1950 Wheel? Will it fit..

Guys, is it possible to part swap a steering horn ring from a '49 onto a non-horn ring wheel?

Have a 1950 Fastback and would like to tart up the wheel, it looks like it should fit if I get the parts together but without pulling the wheel off that I have I can't see if it has the 3 screw holes needed to hold the shiney centre bezel logo'd horn button.

Ultimatley do I need the correct steering wheel, one without the x4 screw holes for the brown bakerlight horm ring...imagine I will knowing my luck on parts but its a price difference of ¢100 v ¢350+ as I have a ring I bought ages ago but as I am in the UK parts are very very pricey to get hold of here due to shipping & taxes, guess if i have to bite the dollar drop I will, maybe someone will know, thanks (in my best cockney accent although we don't all speak that way:)

Also is there a difference between the red and the gold horn button?

OR should I just leave it stock and save the money for fitting new suspension parts / springs I have...
