These are pictures of my 47 WC gear shift knob. If you hold it at the right angle in the light you can tell there is the remains of something that had been engraved. It also appears that at one time it silver if you look around the edges. Does anyone have one that is legible. I would love to see what was originally on there.

I have never seen one like this.  Usually by now the original one is gone.  It could be anything but usually it is the shift pattern for the transmission.  Aftermarket steering wheel knobs often have Girly pics or maybe cigarette adds etc on them could be something like that I doubt this is an original knob which would likely have been sort of plain.  Bob Harrison

I was afraid it might not be original making it almost impossible to identify.  It is frustrating, even in the picture you can see just enough of a hint of what was there to make you think you see something but you really don't.
