Go to the Fiat-Chrysler Archives website: FCA North America - Historical Services and for about $30 they will look up the original factory build sheet for your car, based on the serial number on the right hand door post.

It took a few weeks for them to get me the info on my 1936 Dodge D2 Touring Sedan.  It even identified the dealer that the car was sent to!  I live about 20 miles from where the dealer was in 1936!

Quick question Bill. Is the spitfire head a Canadian only thing or were they also produced in the States?

The Spitfire was a Chrysler name for the six cylinder engine and head and was used in both Canada and the U.S.  First showed in 1941 and was tied into the military connections as the US increased supplying war materiel to the Allies, then at war with Germany, and as the US itself prepared for war.

The last Chrysler Spitfire engine was the 1955 Chrysler Windsor poly V8.

Nothing special about the heads.  It was just an advertising name.
