Howdy All,

I'm changing out my gas tank and the fuel sending unit, I'm going to try the 12 volt path. I need to know what type and or make to buy as a replacement.

You can go with a stock sending unit if you are planning on using an original gauge.  Just have to use a voltage drop

going to the power on the gauge.  You can buy a runtz from Speedway motors and it works well.  I've had mine on for five

years and no issues.

If you are replacing it and wanting a cheaper route of sending unit I think some others have used a unit that is offered by JC whitney.  Others will have to chime in on that as I have not had any experience with it.

Do a forum search for 12v fuel sending unit.  You should find some information that may have already been discussed about it.

I think it has been discussed before and there were several ideas.

Zen Master,

I searched the forum and tech and did not find any help. I do remember something on this but can't find it now.
