dinosaur1950 Posted May 22, 2014 Report Posted May 22, 2014 Hello to all ,just signed up ,looks like a Good place to share & get info on the old flatheads,,I just acquired a 1950 Dodge Coronet ,,all original,right down to the ''SEARS'' Bias wide whites,,,has the D-34 engine,,runs great,,has the ''Gyro-Matic'' trans,,shifts good,,,have only put about 30 miles on it,,have had it 3 days now,,,,my question is '',,,,''What type oil do you recommend for this engine'',,I know the older cars ran ,non detergent oil,,,some have told me straight 30 weight ,,some say Rotella diesel 15w-40,,I have an old Chiltons,,tells a lot,,but not what type oil,,,any help would be appreciated,,,Thanks Quote
