Chester Brzostowski Posted September 13, 2013 Report Posted September 13, 2013 I didn’t know that drive-in existed. Basically about 60 miles from the house. I might stop by but my 48 is on the eastern shore of Delaware. Maybe the wife & I might drive over for the show and the movie. I’ll check with the bride. Who knows maybe I’ll drive the 48 back to VA this weekend. We'll see. Thanks, Chet…
wdoland Posted September 14, 2013 Author Report Posted September 14, 2013 Well come on down! (or over) My wife and I are taking our car out for it's first event. Should be fun, this area usually has a good turnout for these things. Love to see your Plymouth. Wayne
Chester Brzostowski Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Wayne, I will drive over on Saturday but unfortunately I spent the day yesterday stripping the moldings off the 48. She is going back to the painter for a repaint. We had problems with the paint developing small blisters in spots on the down spray so the car is being sanded and repainted. This has been a never-ending story since I started this car in 2004. Hopefully it will finally be finished by summer 2014. PS... I hate to say this but the paint is the only thing on the car I didn't do. Go figure, If you are going to be at the show I'll stop by and say hello, might have my son-in-law, wife, & grandson in tow. My grandson is 4 years old and really knows his cars. He was in the car with another 4 year old when he shouted out there's a Lamborghini. This didn't compute with the 4 year old girl sitting next to him. She inquired.. " A little Genie ?" My daughter said it reminded her of her grandparents who were a little hard of hearing. Chet... 1
wdoland Posted September 17, 2013 Author Report Posted September 17, 2013 Chet, Too bad about the '48. Hope it isn't costing anything for the repaint. Do they know what cause the blisters in the first place? Are you bringing the '29? If your going to trailer it due to the distance, you can park the trailer at my house and drive the 3 or 4 miles to the drive-in. Looking forward to meeting you. Wayne
Chester Brzostowski Posted September 18, 2013 Report Posted September 18, 2013 Wayne, I was just planning on being a spectator this trip. Many thanks for the trailer parking space. I was going to get the 29 ready for the Leesburg Air Show but then again, ran out of available time. The car looks good in the pictures but needs some TLC and unfortunately it’s been neglected also. Sorry to disappoint, Chet...
