Bobtjr(dale) Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 (edited) As a refresher Bob T is my father n law. Pet'e was in the Joplin tornado. I had open heart surgery after my 3rd heart attack. During recovery I started repairing our 47 conv Pet'e. Most of Pet'e has paint now and the hood plus the front fenders need paint now. I'm reconstructing the car now. As I'm reassembling the car I plan posting pics and get advice from you all. My recovery was lengthy. My job of twelve years decided to leave me. So my new profession is car upholstery (trimmer) So my first posts are recovering of the rear leanback. ps. use the hybrid to see pics in order Edited November 18, 2012 by Bobtjr(dale) order Quote

BobT-47P15 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 Dale brought the rear seat back cushion along on their Thanksgiving visit .... and it looks nice. The original seat was maroon cloth just like this one with grey bedford cord insert. But the car was originally Sumac Red. I think the tan color insert will go better with the yellow paint. Thanks Dale. Bob Back side of the seat........ Quote
Bobtjr(dale) Posted November 26, 2012 Author Report Posted November 26, 2012 you may realize that in the last picture Bob posted that my seam line was higher on one side than the other. I went into work and rectified the problem. I left my camera at home so no pics tonight of that. Quote
Bobtjr(dale) Posted November 26, 2012 Author Report Posted November 26, 2012 The next two items on the list are the rear interior panels that cover the top cylinders and the rear cushion. I have recovered one of the rear interior panels already, but I am going to show you the process on the other one. so here are a couple of pics to start with. Quote
