Ken_Hart Posted May 11, 2007 Report Posted May 11, 2007 Went to the NSRA event in knoxville TN last weekend.. decent turn out but only seen on pilot house. it was one of the first cars I saw when getting to the event and just by chance it was from my state of SC tried to find the owner and talk with him but never did. Here is a pic of the panel and a link to the rest of the pictures (most are of traditional styled hotrods) I took (incase you are interested) http://public.fotki.com/boones/car_shows/nsra-south---knoxvi/ Quote
Guest Dave Claussen Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 Very good pics Ken, were you a photographer in another life? Whenever I try to take pictures at a car show it seems like there's always some inconsiderate, thoughtless goofball walking between me and the vehicle just as I snap the picture. Lots of really nice rides there. Those events always seem to bring out the coolest cars and trucks. Dave Quote
dmulhall Posted May 13, 2007 Report Posted May 13, 2007 I have such a obsession with rat rods.. I love vintage, and hot american muscle through and through but I have this thing about rat rods.. that will have to be my next project.. I guess its just because a person can really make them your own, and you know the guy next door wont have the same ride haha:) Quote
Ken_Hart Posted May 13, 2007 Author Report Posted May 13, 2007 dmulhall - you just need to find a decent pilothouse cab (or better yet a pre-48 cab that is narrower) that has good patina, slice the lower portion of the cab to push in the ledge (since there will be no fenders) to create a taper to the cab - channel it over a homebuilt 2x4 frame and chop it some (do a swing out windshield (like a old VW bus), use a different grill and run it without fenders.. a ratrod on the making Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 That panel is nice. Has everyone seen this extended cab Dodge PU?? Was at the Good Guys show in Nashville last June.
