BobT-47P15 Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 They always hold the Maple Leaf Festival in Carthage, MO on the third weekend of October. Their car show is the largest in our part of the state, usually drawing 400 to 600 vehicles. It was a nice day, but I think the number of entries was down a bit this year.....probably in the 400 range. Dale and I went to check out the swap meet area (which is fairly small) and look at cars. He ended up buying a set of new Moon racing disc type wheel covers for one of his cars. I didn't find anything for the ol Plymouth. One vendor had some pictures for sale......a couple included old Plymouths in the subject matter. The first one has a shadow on it, but you can see the featured car...... The second one has a 51 or 52 Plymouth......... This year, there were both one P15 (not mine) and one D24 in attendance.....usually there are neither at area shows. Talked to the owner of the P15, who said he also has a 1952 Chrysler Imperial he is working on, found in the basement garage of a house in a small town south of here. His P15 needs a bit of work, and does have a V8 in it, but I gave him info on this forum. The location of the show has many large shade trees, but they make lots of shadows and bright spots for taking pictures. [/img] Didn't see the owner of the D24, which also has a V8, but otherwise is pretty stock in appearance. He did have some fancy wheel covers and Briz bumpers. There were several nice older Mopars of the late 30s and early 40s this year. John Reddie Posted October 25, 2012 Report Posted October 25, 2012 Hey Bob, Nice photos. Thanks for posting them. You know, any of those cars in that pile would be sought after today to be restored or at least parted. I guess most things become valuable if they last long enough. John R Quote
