BeardBros Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 I am looking for a drivers side mirror for a 1948 Plymouth 5 window coupe. The round mirror was broken off in the past. I still have the arm in very good condition on this car. So I am in need of the whole unit or another mirror to put on the existing arm. Any help would be appreciated. You can email me at Jim at beardbrothersinc . com or call me at 815- two five two - 7247 Thanks - Jim Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted March 19, 2012 Report Posted March 19, 2012 It would be helpful if you could post a picture of the item in question. Some mirrors can be repaired, but not sure that others can have the head replaced. Is it the swan neck mirror that goes on the cowl in place of the short piece of stainless trim? There are numerous styles of round head mirrors out there. Quote
BeardBros Posted April 24, 2012 Author Report Posted April 24, 2012 It is the 1 piece cast swan neck mirror that I need, for the drivers side. The one I have has the mirror broken off. The rest of the arm is fine. I just cannot find a mirror to match the other side. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 There are several swan neck style mirrors currently on ebay......don't know if any of these would be helpful, but here's a link to that group. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313&_nkw=swan+neck+mirror&_sacat=See-All-Categories Quote
Ed Griffin Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 I am just curious but does the base mount of your mirror match the same width as the rest of your trim or is the width smaller? I purchased a set a few years back and the base width is a tad narrower than the stainless trim it's aligned with. Quote
