1st off, Hi folks, new guy here to the forum. I own a 40 plymouth P10 touring sedan and have a question, what are the colors supposed to be for the 40's trunk badge? It was void of any color when I got the car back in november so I did what I thought was the right thing and filled her in with red since there was a trace of it in spots and the ship was solid white...now after looking at my nose trim badge and the dash speaker location I see those have a very colorful fill in....so this brings my above question into play, anyone know what the correct colors are for my badge?

I have a 1940 Roadking P-9 It does not have the trim package that your car has. My trunk emblem is just the script PLYMOUTH in red. There is a very small bade on my speaker grill it is a miniture badge that looks like your front badge. I have a front badge just like yours however it is not as nice:D

Rodney, my P-10 business coupe's trunk lid has just the "Plymouth" like yours does. It is my understanding that only the 4drs and 2dr sedans in 1940 had the big emblems on the trunk lids

All of the 1940 Plymouth Sedan trunk medallions I have are silver in color

The color treatment in your pictures is attractive and congruent with the cloissone medallions on the 1942 Plymouth hood.

The 1939 1940 and 1941 Plymouth grill medallions were White, Blue and Orange.

I actually like the way you have embellished the original

medallion. nice work!

Thanks...I haven't seen any of these as of yet so it's hard to tell if I'm getting it right or not. I used Tamiya model paint to paint this all in....clear red, clear orange, clear blue and gloss white - they were handy at the time.

As was said, the nose trim badge and radio speaker trim badge are the same...I figured why not the trunk badge as well...till shown different at least.
