grey beard Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 Have any of you gentlemen come up with a usable rubber boot that will seal the top of the transmission tower-floor board area good enough to keep heat in the cab? Neither Andy B nor Roberts has anything to offer. Your wisdom is welcome. Quote
Byronb3b Posted April 2, 2007 Report Posted April 2, 2007 You might try a heavy truck parts dealer, as in Kenworth or Mack they used to carry ones that would work, came with a metal ring to fasten to the foor. I'll try and find one next time I'm in the big city and post a part # if I come up with anything as I need one too. Some older rigs that I have driven had a boot made of heavy naugahyde sewn in a cone shape and held to the floor with a metal ring . Quote
Guest Dave Claussen Posted April 3, 2007 Report Posted April 3, 2007 Dave, check out Lokar, they have some shifter boots if you're not looking for an exact replica style replacement. http://www.lokar.com I think Genie Shifter has shifter boots, too. I tried accessing their web site and got a dead end. Maybe their server is down for some reason. Lokar was accessible though, and they have several different styles. Maybe one would fit the bill. Hope this helps. Later, Dave C. Quote
