They're the same animal, one just has a shorter name. I've been told that it's triple-strength baking soda but I haven't tried to disprove that. It's also called "washing soda" and no telling what it would do to your washing machine but I've used it with "reverse electroplating" when removing rust and it makes the best electrolyte I've found. It can be disposed into your yard guilt free.
