ply251350 Posted April 22, 2011 Report Posted April 22, 2011 Hey all, I am in need of some parts for a 1941 1941 or even a 1946,7 or 8 Plymouth dash clock. I need the glass lens. Does any one know who can or does make a replacement? Glass or plastic with the numbers on it. Quote

They sometimes have extra parts left from previous projects. Such a vendor is RS Guage Works in Phoenix AZ. http://www.rsgaugeworks.com/ There are several who do this work. This one comes to mind right off. Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 23, 2011 Report Posted April 23, 2011 Are the numbers actually on the glass for the '42?? They are on the face for the 46-48. I had a local auto glass shop make me a replacement lense for my clock. Their biggest challenge was drilling the hole for the stem. One shop actually could not make the hole, but another did. Quote
ply251350 Posted April 27, 2011 Author Report Posted April 27, 2011 Wow am I glad you mentioned that about the numbers on the glass. The numbers are on the glass for the '41. The '42 can be the same as the '41 as far as on the glass. There are 2 different sizes as far as the complete clock for the '42......later ones were the same size as the '46-8......Earlier ones the same size as the '41. I have the earlier size in the '42. I have a '41, '42 and '48 apart on teh bench and got some parts mixed up and thought I did not have a glass with numbers on it for the '41....guess what it was mixed up with the 48 parts. YEAHHHHH I found it! Are the numbers actually on the glass for the '42??They are on the face for the 46-48. I had a local auto glass shop make me a replacement lense for my clock. ply251350 Posted April 27, 2011 Author Report Posted April 27, 2011 Thanks I did contact Scott Young and he has the part I need. I also found the part I need in the box with some '48 Plymouth clock parts that I got mixed up somehow. I may send to '42 clock out to get restored. Thanks again.
