head milling question

James,

It is great to see you back in the thick of things!

I hope you still have your Desoto, and it is providing solid, safe transportation for you and your family. I have missed your updates on it.

Looks like I have finally got a replacement for the engine/transmission in my 1948 Desoto. In a small town about 30 miles away a fellow has a 1954 Chrysler flat-head with a two speed automatic for sale at a decent price. Will probably get over sometime this month and go over it with my garage owner before buying it.

It is the 265 cu. so it should be a virtual drop in. We were going to go with a Chevy 350/350, but we could not find anyone in Tulsa or the immediate area that could make the necessary custom headers. So, I was still looking when I came across this Chrysler. Hope it works out. I am getting tired of waiting.
