Pictorial History of.....Radio Delete Plates

The pressed steel does not have an embossed part # which makes it slightly more difficult to I.D.

The picture shows 1939 and some 1940's delete plates.

The wood-grained pattern was to match the dash.

So I would assume that the black plate was for a convertible because convertibles were not equipped with wood-grained dashboards.
