Jason Hyde Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Hello, I live down in Australia and have just bought a Dodge to restore. I have the following information and hoping that someone may be able to help me. I will post pics as the restoration takes place but she is an original beauty. Dodge Tip Truck 1950 (Approx) Serial Number 9900 2304 Model DE4-52 Engine Number T149G7421C Rated at 97 HP/3600 RPM GVM 14500 lbs Plate above Model plate reads DT8DC-0668 Anybody out there able to confirm year of build, where/how it was imported? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Quote
OLD DODGE Posted November 29, 2010 Report Posted November 29, 2010 Jason, I think if you double check your serial number you will find that it starts out with 93 and not 99. If so you have a very late 1949 model 2 ton truck that was built in Canada. Tipper = Dump Truck??? Kevin Quote
Jason Hyde Posted November 29, 2010 Author Report Posted November 29, 2010 Kevin, Thanks for that. On closer inspection the serial number is 93002304. And it is a dump truck (we call them tip trucks in Oz). Cheers Quote
