I see many people have a difficult time getting the rear brake hubs off. My Dodge hubs were not too difficult with the large hub puller, but I was thinking as to why these are difficult, and also what could be done to make it not so difficult in the future. The inside of the hub seems very smooth. The axle spindle is not smooth, more like a fine wash board. Very poor workmanship from the factory. The key way is extremely tight. To make it a less difficult to remove in the future, I polished the axle spindle with different grades of sandpaper, hope to smooth it some. The keyway I sanded also, and filed some on the sharp corners, which should leave some room for lube. I wonder if a lube or wax should be applied also.th_june28dodge010.jpg

They say the drums should be installed dry.I did not go that way, I used a light coat of anti seize. If you search the old posts you will see why I used anti seize.
