49 wayfarer convertible

I went to a car show today in Hertford, N.C. A buddy of mine was there and he knew I had a 52 Wayfarer. He drives a model A hot rod and some guy approached him at the 7-11 and started talking cars. He said he had a 49 dodge wayfarer convertible for sale for $1000. He gave my buddy a piece of paper with 2 phone #s and the word "rusty" on it. I don't know if rusty is his name or condition of car.

The guy lives in Pungo, va. which is southern Virginia Beach.

Unless it's reeeaalll bad, that would seem like a good price for one of

those. Especially if it has the removable door windows, rather than

crank ones. That makes it the coveted "roadster" model.
