Gregammon Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 I have a broken window in the rear door of my 1947 Plymouth sedan. I do not find a way to disconnect the glass retainer channel from the operting mechanisim. The inside window trim is removed and the fuzzy channel has been removed. Can someone please instruct me how to remove the glass? Thanks, Greg Quote
Troganin Posted April 20, 2010 Report Posted April 20, 2010 Pull the door card and inner window trim metal. You should see the regulator arms. Follow them up to the base of the window. Grab a mirror. Look at the back side of the arm, there should be a friction clip holding the post from moving out of the slot at the bottom of the window. Remove aforementioned clip and the other arms clip as well. Have the window at about half staff, error to the low side. Hold window. Slide regulator arm pins out of the slots in the bottom of the window. Pull window up and slightly inward. It should take some dancing but it will come out. Set removed window down. Get chair. Enjoy cocktail. I know pictures are worlds better then words but I dont have any at my disposal. Hope that helps. If you need a picture of a step I could take one. I just recently removed my windows. Quote
Gregammon Posted April 20, 2010 Author Report Posted April 20, 2010 Thanks, the window is out. It is easy when you get good instructions. Greg Quote
