1940plymouth Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 This afternoon Cooper and I went for a ride in the Plymouth, we took some photos of the "Barn Quilts" that have been placed on a couple of local cow barns. Hope you all enjoy a slice of life in the Mountains. Notice the cow manure on the one road, when we went past the one barn, the farmer was out spreading cow manure, boy did Cooper's nose go into overdrive:) Hope everyone is having a good day, I sure know Cooper and I are Bob Quote
P-12 Tommy Posted April 11, 2010 Report Posted April 11, 2010 Must have been a nice day. Keep the pics coming. Tom Quote
BobT-47P15 Posted April 12, 2010 Report Posted April 12, 2010 OK, Bob......why do they put the quilts on the barns?? No further questions about the cow manure. Quote
1940plymouth Posted April 12, 2010 Author Report Posted April 12, 2010 Bob, It was an idea that the Neversink Renaissance got from the farmers in Iowa. A good share of the old cow barns in the town of Neversink have some neat quilt patterns painted on 4x4x8 sheets of plywood. As of now, there are no working dairy farms in the town of Neversink, although there are a couple of beef farms Google Neversink Barn Quilts just for giggles, it is rather interesting. Quote
