This information was just given to me by our Fire Chief:

Information for those of you who have Fire Extinguishers in you house, garage or vehicles.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is notifying consumers that fire extinguishers manufactured by International Technology Services have not been evaluated for safety by UL and bear a counterfeit UL Mark in the United States.

I have an old type extinguisher with a mounting bracket on the shelf for the car. Don't have it in the car though because it's more or less for looks. I carry this larger new one from a company that supplies industrial and commercial businesses with extinguishers. So........it will work on any type of fire. It has a bracket for mounting too. Have not done so yet though.
