Joe Flanagan Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 My car has the AC 9418 dual action pump. I pulled it apart tonight and have a couple of questons. When I compare its insides to the diagram in my manual, some of the stuff the manual shows is not present in the actual pump I have. There are a few little discs or washers shown on the diagram that are not in my pump. The diagram is very hard to read. Does anyone either have a clear diagram or a photo of what should be inside such a pump? I know it's a stretch. The other question I have is what are the extra two threaded fittings for? I know two are for fuel inlet and outlet but the other two? Does one connect to the windshield wipers? Quote

Supposed to provide vacuum to the wipers even when you are accelerating. Jim Yergin Quote
Joe Flanagan Posted November 23, 2009 Author Report Posted November 23, 2009 Thanks, Jim. I take it it is the upper fittings that go to the wipers? Also, I managed to find a much clearer diagram of the insides of my fuel pump. Quote
Jim Yergin Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Joe, Correct, it is the upper ones. Jim Yergin Quote
