What is this for?? found in box of spares

See pic's attached....what is this used for...seems like it will hold a piece of glass or mirror. Found it in a box of "junk" that came with my car. Been looking at it for days (but that is not unusual for me!!) Thanks Dave

Wing glass holders for a 20s or 30s model..?? Or maybe held a divider glass between front and back seats????

You are close on the vent wings. Actually those look like the holders for a glass breeze. Sort of like the breeze's that you put on vent wings of the late 30's through 50's model cars.

In the 20's & 30's they had breeze's too. Since those cars had no vent wings, these were put on the door post to deflect the wind when you had the window down, the same as your vent wing does on the 40's & 50's car. Brother in law has a pair of those glass deflectors for his 36 Ford 3 window coupe. When the glass is in them, they are called "Wind Wings".

Thanks I sort of thought that may be what it is....will start looking now for some pictures of how the glass is shaped.....may put one on the '38.
