Outside door handle?

Hey guys, I ran across this handle and can't figure out if it's a trunk or outside door handle. Part# 796892 There's also some other numbers inside the handle. J 4284 and A12 also the DPCD logo. It's something I can't use on my P12. If somebody can use this, let me know. It's NOS. BTW: The shaft looks too short to be a door handle.
