There has been some controversy about tubless radial tires on older rims. I have done this several times in the past and logged many miles with no problems. Some of the rims had the larger oval valve stem holes. I simply used bolt on stems that are made for trucks that I picked up at my local tire store. The other day I put a pair of 205/65 15 on the front of my P-15 coupe with 225/75 bias ply tires on the rear. I know that the experts say this is a NO, NO. Haven't driven it yet but will do so later today. I'll let you know if there are any problems.

Bob Do the test on a wet road. You will notice the bias tire will slip on a wet surface more than a radial

I just got back from my test drive on a wet road. I didn't see anything derogetory to complain about. In fact the car actually handles better and the steering feels tighter.
