xbedbugger Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 Anyone have a four speed trans laying around that they can pull the speedometer drive gear out and tell me how many teeth on it. The number is stamped on the side, should say something like 652848 17T. Quote
grey beard Posted April 8, 2009 Report Posted April 8, 2009 I have a speedo driven gear - the one the cable fits into - in my hand from a 1947 1-ton 4-speed box. It has 15 teeth. Hope this helps. Quote
xbedbugger Posted April 8, 2009 Author Report Posted April 8, 2009 Grey Beard Is this gear 3 1/2 inches long, casting # 652848. Is it for sale? Quote
grey beard Posted April 9, 2009 Report Posted April 9, 2009 Nope. The gear is not for sale. Having said that, it's for TRADE, like for anything you have that I need. Don't know what that is, but we'll figure it out. Meanwhile, send me your snail address and I'll send it to you. Do you need the trans rear housing casting piece the gear rides in as well, or just the gear? Quote
