Guest Federico
Hi all, I wanted to know where can i get the user and service manual for a '46 DeSoto SP15C (mainly a Ply P15). I know they must be somewhere on the internet, but i also wanted to know if some of you have bought them, how good are they? (print quality, etc), how much? I am really interested on buying them, but i want to have some feedback first, any opinion or though is really welcome!. As a side note, the car is now again moving under its own power, it also con go on reverse, stop and turn... a year ago that didn't seem very possible Federico
Dennis Hemingway
This is where I bought the manuals for my 48 P-15 and 56 Chevy. The quality is quite good. I don't remember how much I paid for mine. Dennis http://www.autolit.com/index.html
BobT-47P15
If you actually need a Plymouth manual, then Irv Bishko sells reproductions.....first is the repair manual like I have for my 47 Plymouth. His price is $35.95. The parts manual is orange for the Plymouth. Ebay is the easiest place to find those books.
Allan Faust
Frederico, Service manuals and user manuals are useful (particularily the service manuals). Do you know if you have an American model, or an export model (which is more likely), because if so, I'd search for an export service manual because it would have the information specific to your car. I myself have a 1950 export "dodge" (with a plymouth body) and have the service manual that includes all the 49-52 models (all export). This purchase has been the most useful one I've made to date along with a 1950 export parts manual... Allan
Guest Federico
Yes, my car is an export model... it's a DeSoto SP15C, which is a Ply P15 except for the badging... where did you get your manuals?
Jeff.P_46
I also got my manuals from Bishko, www.autobooksbishko and even though they are reproductions they are good quality. Just saw an original 42-46 Dodge Plymouth shop manual newly listed on ebay, Item number: 190069777953. Jeff

Allan Faust
Frederico, I got mine from ebay, both the export 1950 parts book (came from Israel believe it or not) and the shop manual in the picture. I didn't realize it before, but my manual in the pic has the S-15 in it... If I see another one, I'll send you a private message on it.... PatS....
You could also try http://www.kenmcgeeautobooks.com/ for Canadian and Export Manuals.
Allan Faust
Good idea Pat, if anyone may have it in stock, it would be him... the number of the manual is WM-4247 (Plymouth, Dodge, Chrysler, Desoto 1949-52 shop manual).
