Update on "Mater"

I drove it about 4 miles yesterday in the cold. The thing started easily, idled smooth, accelerated well and shifted nicely. The brakes worked as well as all of my new gauges except for the speedo. It's electric programmable and needs to be calibrated. Engine came up to temp and stayed nicely. Was a bit noisey......that's what I get for driving with no door, fenders or hood. I have to track down a coolant leak somewhere near the WP or head but things are looking up. I pulled the sheet metal down from storage and am going to start working on getting things fit up. I am stoked!

That's good news. By the way, I like the blog. It has motivated me to update my own.
