We Just started dissassembly and some bodywork on our 1940 4 door. So far I removed the hoods (burrerfly hood) and sanded down to bare steel. We filled all the rust divits. (Whole car rusted real bad) We sanded down one and will start the other when I get home next. Unfortunatly our little Plymouth is not the only thing that needs the shop however it is the only one who will not be put outside. But It was nice to get started on her. I am amazed in the differences of this car compared to modern cars, even those of the 70s and 80s that I am most familiar with. They sure built them different. Seeme like they were more concerned about style back then. Seems like some thougt wene into the mechanic working on it too.

I do need a set of headlight buckets. I removed the original ones from the fenders and they are rusted thru pretty bad. Does anybody make n ew remanufactured parts like that?

I Will post more when we get more done
