Vintrader Posted December 27, 2006 Report Posted December 27, 2006 I have been thinking about installing a Tachometer on my truck. I have seen a few types and being a cheep SOB I am looking at used stuff on ebay. Has anyone done this? Any recommendations? Cable Driven or Electric / Transmitter type? Seems like 3000 to 4000 top RPM would be enough for these old trucks. Anybody have one they would like to get rid of? Thanks. Dutch Quote
MBF Posted December 30, 2006 Report Posted December 30, 2006 Dutch-the '52 parts truck I have came with an electric tach mounted in one of the removable dash panels(homemade installation) with the sending unit mounted on the firewall. I was going to use it, but I don't want to cut a hole in my dash, or block off my speaker panel. I was also thinking about making some type of underdash mount for the tach, but after banging my knee on the cb that I had under there I'm look for alternatives. Mike Quote
