Allan Faust Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 Probably a small "programming" feat.... ie 2 bids in last second, next higher bid amount not reached, however, you still bid "officially" higher than your opponent..... Imagine what you might have said if you lost, even though you bid 0.01 cent higher.... because in reality, you didn't lose..... Allan Quote
Lee Exline Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 I have seen this happen before. As long as the bidding was at a lower dollar amount than one bid incriment when your bid was placed you win! IE. had the opening bid or the current bid level been $100 and your bid $100.01 your bid would have been regected for not being enough to meet the minimum bid incriment. But the top bid must have been lower ($95.00 or less) when your bid was placed:D If you had bid $100.00 even then you would have lost because the other bidder with the exact same bid amount bid before you. I have seen this happen with only 1 second difference between the bids placed and that is why I never bid even dollar amounts Quote
