Just found out where some old cars are going (sorta OT)

I had heard of an old salvage yard about an hour's drive north of here....40 acres with a bunch

of old vehicles.....including some fairly ancient ones.

Then about a week ago a friend told me the owner had decided to close it

out and sell to a crusher. Today a customer told me the crusher place is

located near Quapaw, OK (about 25 miles from here). He says they are

hauling in some of the better cars to sell and mashing some others. They

are supposed to have 3 months to clear the old yard of about 2,000 cars.

Evidently they paid a pretty good price for the lot of them.

I don't have any idea what the man had in the way of old Mopars , but

am thinking of driving to the scrap place soon to talk to them and inquire.

Don't know if he will part out stuff or just wants to sell complete cars.

Just putting this out in case anyone in this general part of the country

would be interested.
