Looking for suggestions for dealing with a rotted rubber shift boot for a '58 d100 (4 on floor). The original one fits over a metal retainer that attaches to the tunnel hole via clips (see pic below) and is an odd size as far as I can tell. My parts cataloge shows it in a pic (called a shift seal) , but has no part number. My guess is that a replacement part can't be found---any ideas for an alternative that might work (and have an original look).
