Working on a 53 Dodge with the fluid drive/truck-o-matic/gyro-matic. Engine is rebuilt and ready to go, everything is set, timing, etc…. Rebuilt the Carter B&B from Mikes Carburetor so all parts are correct. Simple carb. This is the issue. Vehicle starts and idles very nice, increase the idle and everything is good until around 1000RPM then the engine starts bogging down and almost stalls out or will stall out, stumbles, etc. Let off the accelerator and it idles like it should at 450RPM. This is in neutral. It acts like it's flooding out. I can see gas squirting out through the main jet, actually, its very sensitive, just touch the accelerator and fuel comes out. The accelerator pump is sensitive on this one. Went through the service manual and checked everything, partially disassembled the carb and inspected, fuel is in the bowl, everything looks good. Not sure what is happening so anyone have any. Help…...
