  1. Well, The part number I was looking for was listed at the end of a few others. Not the same part. Caused a lot of frustration. Oh well. Fixed now
  2. hi, I have figured out what was wrong. I purchased rollers that had the same part number but they were .004 larger and they were binding up the free wheel gear. I ordered all new small parts for the free wheel gear and put it back together. Installed it today and No more clunking .. car drives great. Thanks for the input. Helped me figure it out.
  3. Thanks. I took it apart and will replace the rollers and retainer. The other stuff was already new
  4. Well, disconnected the drive shaft and clamped on the parking brake. Let out the clutch. Give a little gas and clunk. Let off the park brake and clunk. I made sure the large nut was torqued before doing the above.
  5. Thanks for the input. I replaced worn side gears in the diff. Not that. Motor mounts are new. Not that. It has to be torque related so. I'll take a look at the others.
  6. hello all, I have just finished rebuilding the M6 and having never driven one before, I need to know what are proper clunks and clicks and what is not. It does shift and runs good I believe, but here is the problem When starting out in either low or high or reverse, there is a clunk when I press on the pedal to go. if I leave it in that gear and let off the gas there is another loud clunk. When driving in either range low or high and the trans shifts it does make a faint sounding click and it shifts to the 2nd or 4th gear and drives fine. If I press on the gas and let off as before, there is no loud clunk. If this is normal then I am a happy guy, if it's not normal, then it seems i'll have to remove the trans and look for the problem. Thanks in advance, Bill
  7. Here's what sealed power says. I called them just to confirm what was offered here on the forum. Everyone was correct. The new style piston does not have a slot in it and the full skirt does not have a front or rear orientation. So I am good to go as planned. Thanks for your comments.
  8. Hey. Mine are solid all the way around. I am just putting them in. No way to tell.
  9. Yep. Cost was under 170.00
  10. Hi, I have a 251 and ready to install pistons from sealed power. the pistons are 32np30 pistons from sealed power. They do not have any marking on the top to indicate which way is to the front of the engine. Does anyone know if these can be installed either way thanks
