Chrysler 48 trans swap

I got my hands on a 48 Chrysler im keeping the 251 but due to major oilleaks and small fire in the wiring harness Im thinking about changing the fluiddrive for a manual 3 spd. I found a complete engine with a 3 spd from an early 40s dodge will it fit my 251?
