Trying to pull the motor out of my 50 coronet, im pretty sure I've un bolted everything. But I can't get the darn thing up and out. Do I have to separate the transmission from the bell housing....

I have a 50 coronet with s gyromactic transmission, has anyone used the mini hei tom langdon offers on stovebolt.com for 218=230 flathead six....

Well I've found a gyromatic over in Arkansas,im headed over there in the morning, hopefully I can purchase it and and take my coronet back to stock.... I think ift will be easier to do than trying to do a truck trans swap...oh im also ordering a shop manual for my car ...thank you guys for all your insight

Yes I have the complete tran from the donor vehicle, this sounds like i need to get in there and get to work on it and see what I will have to fab up ,lol

Oh so does the truck bell mounts on the sides are in a different location compared to the fluid drive,can I add new mounts on the frame to make the trans fit up to the 230

Well guess im ,going to have to do some reading on the fluid drive, and the difference between the the transmissions as far as what can be changed or swapped out for the other.. thank you for your time and if u have anything else on this subject I would be appreciative for any info

K, I dont have any part of the original transmission, bell housing,torque converter, ect.. I appreciate your patience and maybe im not understanding what your saying about the fluid drive part ..

The 3spd is out of a dodge panel,the stick shift is on top of the trans.im looking for info on what all is needed to do this swap.. bell housing,pilot bushing,ect?
