Hey- I have a 1950 Dodge B2-B that I've been working on for some time now. Unfortunately, after 325k miles and almost 60 years the engine threw in the towel last week. My mechanic found some metal in the the oil pan so the engine probably needs a rebuild. We had replaced the head gasket two months ago and that was the first time the engine had been worked on. My question is, how much should I expect to pay for a rebuild (parts and labor) on the engine? The second question is, if I decide to throw in the towel, what would be a average asking price for it "as-is"? It's very clean, little rust, and fairly stock. A great opportunity for a restore. I don't really want to give it up, but it was my daily driver and now I'm on the bus. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. There's a a few pictures of it on the below link.
