  1. Subject: 1951 Plymouth P-23 engine. I'm in search of an engine to rebuild while still driving my car this summer. Question: Are there any differences from a standard shift (mine) and the fluid drive crank flange etc? Question: What year spread and brands (Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge, Plymouth) should I look for in a donor vehicle? Thanks in advance, Don
  2. The deal was sealed today so here are some unofficial mandatory pix. Wheels gotta go! Don
  3. Thanks for the link that's great info. New to this vintage of MOPAR's and I would have never guessed there was big variations of crank flange spacing. Gonna have to do some research surfing on his site.
  4. I'm on the way to making a deal on a 51 Plymouth 2 door hardtop that is a six tear old restoration. It's all stock drive train with a manual 3 speed I would like to swap a Torqueflite into it. My clutch leg has gone bad so it is a necessary evil. I'm finding kits for Chevy trans but I really want to stay all MOPAR. Thanks in advance for the help. Don
