Hello,
New here to the site and glad to have found this group. I collect vintage motorbikes from the 40's and might have the opportunity to trade one of my bikes for an original unmolested 53 1/2 ton Dodge truck. It has rust - fenders, grille, running boards and floorboard. It sat in a barn since 73 and was recently cleaned up. I really like the truck and would like to keep it as close to original as I can if I trade for it. After doing some research, I found that fiberglass front fenders and running boards are being produced. Not sure if my fenders and grille can be saved for a reasonable price? The running boards are too far gone. The truck runs and drives and holds 40-45lbs oil pressure. It recently had a new head gasket and bolts installed, carb rebuilt, new 6v battery. All gauges work except the fuel gauge. The gas tank is like new inside. It does need brake and exhaust work. Is this a $2500 truck or worth less or more? My bike is valued between $2500-2900. Thanks for replies in advance. Dave
