  1. couldn't believe my luck (its a small town) the odds of finding this were slim to say the least. the wiring is fine... This was his daily driver for a long time. Heck, I'm going to tool it around for a few weeks before I tear her apart. More to come!!!!
  2. Score. Running driving and no funny sounds. Got it for scrap price! Think the 47 will get the 318!!!
  3. No... This one... It's a Flatty Plymouth... 30 something It has "Silverdome" cast into the head
  4. Agreed. You guys know anybody that would be interested in that old Silverdome?
  5. The Army has a bad habit of sending us to sh$y places... How'd the old saying go... "Join the Army Go exotic places Meet exotic people ..."
  6. Started life as a 81Q... Reclassed to 11B after the first enlistment (retention guy looked at me like I was nuts )... stationed @ Knox, Belvoir, Germany x2, Benning, and Drum (and several hot, sandy places... and a former Warsaw Pact nation or two). You???
  7. There is indeed a heater!!! I am!!!! It's been a long time coming. The initial pain is going to be tools... Never had the chance to collect many while I was in the Army Hiya Chris! you're not too far.... I may have to lean on you some!!!!! I assume the weather warmed while you were here. Think we hit 70 that weekend! I hope so!!!! TLC and lots of parts! Always been a Plymouth guy... My first resto (and my first car) was a 62 Fury, Poly 318, Pushbutton etc... Loved that car even though it was a 4 door. It seems they've all been chopped up into Max Wedge Clones now, can't find one anywhere around here.
  8. Thanks for the warm welcome folks! The snow has abated and I have been reclaiming my shop, it sat neglected for years before I bought this place and was full of trash and what not. The GOOD news is I found mucho parts in there. Including an old Silverdome and a Buick? straight eight... not sure about years... They may be good material for future projects! We should get her rolled in there and start in the next week or so.
  9. Hello all. I am finally getting around to introducing myself. The wealth of information on this site is amazing! Thanks to all of you for sharing, I hope I can help out in some way too! You can tell from the pics that I will be exploring all corners of the site! Best, -Ed (and yes.... there is snow on the ground in Central Alabama)
  10. Hi Lloyd, Don't know if you are still in the market for one but I'm about to pull a 218 and tranny out of my '47. You're welcome to it for whatever you think is fair (scrap price).... I'd really hate to scrap it, also don't need it taking up space..... http://i1365.photobucket.com/albums/r746/edwardnaimeeboyle/img9_zpseb59e40c.jpg http://s1365.photobucket.com/user/edwardnaimeeboyle/media/img9_zpseb59e40c.jpg.html
