  1. i told my brother that i'm going to clear a shelf for all of the trophies that i'm going to be getting because of being the only one in my class at car shows:D .
  2. here you go !
  3. a chop is out of the question . it is kind of tall though . i am 6' 5" and i can stand up in it with out hitting my head on the cieling yeah , i have decided that its a keeper . i'll just start telling people the same as i do on my 31 ford , that its not for sale my plans are to keep it stock looking . i'm not going to hot rod it , but not going to restore either . the flathead and automatic is going to be removed in favor of a more updated engine and tranny . the rear diff is also going to be changed , because of the 4:78 to 1 gear ratio . all parts an pieces will be preserved and only prexisting holes will be used for motor and trasmission mounts .
  4. hey greg , sorry for the slow response . the first part of the book shows photo's of the trany and gives part numbers . the rest of the book has part numbers only with no photo's . it also has the contract number which i believe is going to be helpful . it covers everything not just the body .
  5. i was told at first by the guy selling it for the lady that you stand to drive it , but its just missing the seat .
  6. a guy over on a-bodies only drew this up .
  7. i forgot who ask for these, but here are some interior pics . theres also a shot of the parts list manual that i bought . its original from 1956 not a copy even though the photo makes it look that way .
  8. thanks again greg . i was removing the spark plugs when one decided to break off in the head . i decided to remove the head so i pulled the radiator to have more room . when i looked down as i was removing the water hose i saw that the front motor mount bolts had been removed . the van has sat for 32+ years , so i'm thinking the engine is no good . i have sprayed PB blaster in the cylinders though prior to finding the bolts being removed .
  9. for me , a restoration would not be possible due to funds . i do want to keep it and build as a nice driver , but for the right price i would pass it on .
  10. thanks greg . mine has the exact numbers as the one on allpar . i have'nt found the id number though .one of the tags has been scratched so bad by something shart that its hard to tell what ws there . i'm guessing the id number . i am also unable to find the vin on it . any ideas ?
  11. thanks old rat . i'll check in on those .
  12. thanks tim . keep that info coming
  13. you would'nt believe how many times i have been ask this . cash talks
  14. i bought a mopar u.s. post office parts list book that has the transmission as a 3 speed super truck-o-matic . GM ?
