Thanks to all for the warm welcome. I am from Edwardsville, Il and live two blocks off Historic Route 66. Great place to live for cruising. Actually my brother came across this truck several years ago in Utah. She was found in a barn in the present condition. He brought her home and stored her in his shed for about 5 years. From the time she showed up, I began the long winded process of trying to take her off of his hands. He always had big plans for her. After much persuasion and some much needed help from his wife, I finally convinced him that my garage was the best place for her. He finally agreed and the deal was done. She appears to be all original except for the highway mirrors. After 5 years of storage and a new battery she fired right up and runs like a top. 33,000 original miles. Needed all new tires and brakes, have just finished that job. Interior is in very good condition, but will get a once from a very talented friend of mine. Will post some before and after pics of the interior. I hope to take her along 66 this next weekend for a full blown shakedown cruise. Wish me luck.
