    Seems like it will take some practice. I believe I was flooding the engine previously. My hand throttle cable was not functioning, I found it was disconnect.

    Have been slowly messing around with my newly acquired 49 truck and have issues starting. I do get it started, but it is not a quick process. I have looking for starting procedures and couldn't find anything. Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Cooling is a concern with the front, the lower "vent" was left openand the previous owner said it got plenty of air thru it... I'll have to confirm that. I can appreciate bring vehicles back to their former glory, but this one is too far to the other side. :-)

    The motor and trans were rebuilt to stock specs from what I can tell. The truck came out of WA state and brought to AZ... The guy I bought it from priorities changed and had to sell.

    Saw this truck and decided it was too cool to pass up. It's a 1949 B1B pickup. The previous owner did the chop and other body mods. Should be a fun project to complete. The motor and trans have already been addressed. Trying to decide on the look I want when finished. Thinking about the "ratrod" look, flat black with red trim and wheels... or might go red (original) with black. Considering try to find or get 20" steel wheels made with moons. Also, need to figure out the front grill area. Still early in the design phase... will be using Photoshop to mockup examples. Looking forward to exploring this board and meeting some new people.
